Oscilorama consists of multiple textile and PVC objects that contain
various electronic components.
Oscilorama embodies features of electronic pets, due to which an
increasing number of sophisticated responsive functions are entering
our intimate sphere, as mediators in our daily lives. By means of
invisible electronic components, the inbuilt functions set up systems
whose exteriors are inviting and seductive, which due to agreeable
interfaces, an array of sensors, and the inclusion of touch functions
affect our daily work, social lives, and play.
A signal from the camera installed on the object-balloon that floats
outside in the public space is continually transmitted to the main
station, where processing is carried out by a custom-made computer
program: everything that happens within the frame is translated
into algorithmic values that generate real-time audio and video
signal in the gallery. The result is an audio-visual composition
generated by passers-by. The Oscilorama tactile audio-visual environment
is additionally composed of plush and plastic objects in the gallery
that also participate as components in the generation of random
data.
Oscilorama belongs to the Discrete Events in Noisy Domains cycle
of works. The cycle consists of tactile-sonic objects or environments
that recode events into data streams of audio-visual textures with
the help of nonlinear video and sound transmissions.

Oscilorama je sestavljena iz več tekstilnih in PVC objektov, v katere
so vgrajene različne elektronske komponente.
Oscilorama uteleša lastnosti elektronskih domačih ljubljenčkov,
s pomočjo katerih vstopa vse več sofisticiranih odzivnih funkcij
v polje intime kot posrednik med tistim zunaj nas in nami. Vgrajene
funkcije, ob posredovanju očesu nevidnih elektronskih komponent,
vzpostavljajo sisteme, ki so po svoji zunanjosti vabljivi in zapeljivi,
s pomočjo dopadljivih vmesnikov, vrste senzorjev in z vključevanjem
funkcije dotika pa dnevno vplivajo na naše delo, način bivanja,
socijalno življenje in zabavo.
Signal s kamere, ki se nahaja na objektu-balonu, ki lebdi na prostem
v javnem prostoru, se neprekinjeno prenaša v zbirno postajo, kjer
se signal procesira s pomočjo posebej za to narejenega računalniškega
programa; vse, kar se v kadru dogaja, se prevaja v algoritmične
vrednosti, ki generirajo zvočni in video signal v realnem času v
galeriji – rezultat je zvočno-vizualna kompozicija, ki jo generirajo
mimoidoči. Taktilno avdio-vizualno okolje Oscilorama dopolnjujejo
plišasti in plastični objekti v galeriji, ki sodelujejo pri generiranju
naključnih podatkov.
Oscilorama pripada ciklu del Diskretni dogodki v hrupnih domenah.
Cikel sestavljajo taktilno-sonični objekti ali okolja, ki s pomočjo
nelinearnih video in zvočnih povezav, (re)kodirajo dogodke v podatkovne
tokove zvočno-vizualnih tekstur.
